About Anna

One of Us

As a fourth generation resident of Taney County, Anna knows what it will take to be a judge of the people with conservative values.

Honest and Fair

Since graduating from law school in 2005, Anna has devoted her life ensuring the citizens of Taney County are treated with honesty and fairness.

Ready to Serve

Anna has never held public office before, so she has no current interest in criminal cases that she will see as judge and does not bring political bias to the bench. She is ready to serve on day one.

Anna grew up in Branson, Missouri and graduated from Branson High School. She is the daughter of Joe and Jonne Morrissey and the granddaughter of Lois Holman. Growing up, Anna worked in family businesses in Taney County. She worked at the family’s large campground resort south of Branson until she was 16. During the summers after, she ran a flower shop and deli in downtown Branson with her family. Anna has a vast experience of first hand business knowledge that most practicing attorneys do not. She understands the practical needs of business owners as well as the requirements and hard work it takes to run a business in Taney County, Missouri.

Anna attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. While in college Anna was a legislative intern and visited the state legislature on many occasions. She served as Vice President of Chapter Relations for her 300-member sorority during her junior year. After college Anna attended the University of Missouri Kansas City Law School. During Law School she was a research assistant to Professor Robert Klonoff and worked as a clerk to Family Court Commissioner Geoffery Allen in Jackson County Circuit Court.

Since returning home Anna has become involved in her community. She volunteers with her church family at Victor Baptist in Branson. She is a Board Member of Junior Auxiliary of Taney County an organization that betters the lives of children in Taney County. Anna also volunteers at Branson Buchanan Elementary. She has been a T-ball coach for tiny tots T-ball, girls 6U recreational T-ball, and Peewee basketball through the Branson Rec Plex. She is a member of the Branson Ultimate Gymnastics Booster club where she chairs the banner fund raising project each year.

Anna’s great-grandfather was a county Judge in Taney County in the 1940’s. See photo below of Judge Holliday (far right) campaigning. His wife Emma Oliver Holliday is pictured holding fish.

Another of Anna's great-grandfathers, Charles H. Holman was an engineer and surveyor on the construction of the Power Site Dam. See photo below labled December 1911.  Anna’s father, Joe Morrissey, is a former Marine and Vietnam war veteran he has also practiced law in Taney County since 1980. Anna has had a conceal and carry permit since 2005.
